This page lists volunteer initiatives, or IPOs, initiatives, processes and owner(s). The idea behind the IPO framework is that we need to efficiently and effectively organize meetings and projects, in spite of the fact that we don't have any formal authority or organizational structures to do so as individual members of this community. The assumptions then, is that through self selection, people will support initiatives that are well thought through initiatives and support owners of initiatives who are agreeable and efficient:
INITIATIVE: Springfield Road Clean-up.
Post and Initiative on the sumnergrove.org website
• INITIATIVE: Springfield Rd. Clean-up - To address the problem of littering and dumping on Springfield Rd., through direct action and communication with municipal and county agencies.
• PROCESS: Springfield Rd. is out of control, as seems the norm after a Sumner of abuse. Volunteers really ought to have a reflective vest, gloves and breathing masks. I have a pack of those cheap disposable masks, but you'd need to stop at Lowe's or Home Depot for the vest and gloves. I plan to go out again on Saturday, around 6:30am or so, depending on the weather.
• OWNER: Glenn White. Call on Friday evening if you're interested to join me. I usually can't know for certain whether I'll go out until Friday evening.(201.256.9406 cell) or email me (see below).
